There was no way to pause it, (pressing escape does sort of pause it, but the talking carries on as if you're still playing, so you miss a lot of you had to go do something, thus having to restart to hear what you missed), no subtitles, the talking was really low, and for me, just overall frustrating. If you enjoy the game, then that's ok, I just didn't. Play it if you like this sort of thing, but I do not reccomend it at all.. This game is hilarious. While some of the mechanics may be bad, and sometimes things are poorly explained, this game needs to be played. Pro tips. Black pawn. Honey.. I don't understand all the negative reviews... I thought this game was intriguing and... well, "a surreal first person adventure-puzzle game". It was really fun to play, and I'm quite happy it's free. Definitely worth a try.. Awsome game. Great ideas, but it needed better execution. Just to give an example, one time I was crawling through some reeds, clipped through to a part I wasn't supposed to be at, and got stuck. So I had to restart the level and sit through the LONNNNNNGGG cutscene. This is a game where the point is mindscrewery, so ideally the mechanics should not be causing me the most frustration. At the part with all the coulmns, I fell to my death an incredible amount of times. Not because I didn't know where to go, but because I couldn't gauge my jumps. That kind of thing irks me in a bad way.The rest of the game irked me in a *good* way through, flinging headscratching puzzles at me with utter contempt. I enjoy beating an opponent that tells me I can't, so this was right up my alley. Good voicework too, with the actors conveying exactly who each character is, even if those characters are revealed to be rather loathesome. I will not reveal the ending, only that I thought about it for quite a while, and I immediately hunted down the end credits music for my iPod.I guess I recommend it, especially if you like media that's constantly self-dissecting and pulling the rug out from under you. But they REALLY should have playtested it more to smooth out the rough patches. This game should not be so smug in such an unpolished state.BTW, I definitely recommend choosing the black pawn first.. This is quite an interesting game. The visuals are very nice. However I must say that it can be extremely confusing at times. I had to resort to looking at a guide at times. I would avoid this game unless you have the patience to deal with the less than steller control scheme and the confusing puzzles.
